Langkamer’s third album, Langzamer, stands as their most restrained, mature and sincere work to date. Produced in the dusty archives of the Cornish Bank by Ben Woods of The Golden Dregs, this album lifts Langkamer’s open-hearted slacker rock to new heights. Rich in wry reflections on life and loss, Langzamer alternates between rousing pop anthems and melancholy folk ballads, carried by nimble, contagious melodies.
Very active on stage over the last three years, the Bristol quartet have played sold-out shows across the UK and Europe, also supporting Mystery Jets, Jeffrey Lewis, Juan Wauters, Ratboys, Willie J Healey, Fenne Lily and Opus Kink.
The announcement of their third album comes after receiving support from press and radio, notably Uncut, Brooklyn Vegan, BBC Radio 6 Music (Huw Stephens, Mark Radcliffe, Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson), Radio X (John Kennedy), So Young, Rough Trade Counter Culture, Blogothèque, Morning Star, Wax Music and Clunk.
