Alexandre Kinn

Folk-rock chansonParis, France2008

Alexandre Kinn is a French singer-songwriter blending chanson, folk, blues and rock, a style he calls « urban folk ». He took his stage name in tribute to an uncle, a painter and sailor lost at sea, and travelled to Egypt and New Orleans before playing Paris bars.

His first album, « Dans la tête d’un homme » (2008), produced by Bob Coke (Ben Harper), includes a duet with Pura Fé and won an Académie Charles-Cros award. Le vent se lève (2013), written in Senegal and featuring Hugh Coltman, and the EP Pirates (2022) followed.

He opened the big top on Saturday 14 June 2008.
