Rédèr Nouhaj is the instrumental one-man band of Frédéric Jouhannet, violinist with the Rouen collective Les Vibrants Défricheurs. Hooked on recordings of traditional Caucasian music found in Russia, he plays several violins while accompanying himself with his feet on a Bulgarian tapan, a travel trunk and home-made sound objects.
