High Tone

Formed in Lyon in 1997, in the Croix-Rousse district, High Tone is one of the pillars of the French dub scene, alongside Brain Damage and Kaly Live Dub. The five-piece feeds its dub with drum’n’bass, ambient, trance and world music, with a long discography on the Jarring Effects label.

After breaking through with Opus Incertum in 2000, it went on to release Bass Temperature (2001), Acid Dub Nucleik (2002), Wave Digger (2005) and Underground Wobble (2007), and worked with cellist Vincent Segal and American rapper Oddateee among others.

They played Les Mouillotins in 2019, at the 18th edition.
