Brama is a trio from Chamboulive, in Corrèze, that plugs the hurdy-gurdy into effects pedals to play hypnotic psychedelic rock. Guitar, drums, drones and vocals in Occitan, with touches of krautrock and noise: a kind of imaginary folklore, fed by Massif Central fiddle music, Pakistani qawwali and Malian guitar.
Guy Simon, Paolo Gauthier and Baptiste Lherbeil are part of the Lost in Traditions collective. Selected for the Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges in 2021, the band released the EP La Glane and then, on 13 September 2024, a first album, Brama.
They played Les Mouillotins in 2021, at the 19th edition.
