Asian Dub Foundation Sound System

Born in summer 1993 out of an education workshop in London, Asian Dub Foundation mixes rap, dub, ragga, electronica and South Asian music. The band broke through with the Mercury Prize-nominated Rafi’s Revenge (1998) and has released around ten albums, up to Access Denied (2020). It also performs its own live soundtracks to La Haine and The Battle of Algiers.

In Sound System mode, band members play their own tracks and others’ while one or two MCs rap over them: that is the format in which ADF closed Les Mouillotins 2017.
