Founded in Cotonou in 1998 by the Ahouandjinou brothers, the Eyo'nlé Brass Band (“Let us rejoice” in Yoruba) combines traditional vodun and Yoruba rhythms with jazz and street brass. The eight musicians also sing about democracy and youth unemployment, and now tour as Eyo'nlé - Karnaval de Dahomey.
